Welcome to Louisburgh After-School
School Holiday Childcare for
Primary School-Aged Children 2023
We will be continuing our after-school service during the Halloween break with full day and half day childcare. This service will commence on Tuesday October 31st and will finish on Friday 3rd November.
This will not be operated as a camp as it will be running from 8.30am until 5.30pm each day but will be a structured programme with a morning of free-play activities and a themed afternoon. Half days are from 8.30am-1pm or 1pm to 5.30pm.

As this is a Tusla-registered service, families using the service will be eligible to avail of the subsidies from the National Childcare Scheme.
Community After-School Service
The After-School Service at Louisburgh Childcare is a community after-school located at Louiscurgh NS and is operated under the stewardship of the Board of Management of Louisburgh Childcare. It is not-for-profit and, as part of Louisburgh Childcare, is a registered charity.
Fees
Fees are charged at €15 per child during term time (1.40pm/2.40pm to 5.30pm). During holiday periods the charge is €20 per child for a half day and €35 per child for a full day. As this is a Tusla-registered service parents can apply for subsidies through the National Childcare Scheme.
Calendar & opening hours
The after-school servce opens Monday to Friday from 1.30pm - 5.30pm for during the school term and from 8.30am-5.30pm for the school holidays. It closes for two weeks at Chrstmas and for two weeks in August. See link to Calendar below.
Facilities
The After-School Service is located at Louisburgh NS and has use of indoor spaces as well as the yard and playground area. The children also go on outings to use other facilities within the community including the local playground and astro-turf pitch.

Our team
The staff working with the children in the After-School Service are Garda-vetted, are experienced in working with school-aged children and are first-aid trained.
