Welcome to Louisburgh Pre-School
Providing pre-school education through the ECCE Programme for the children in our community
Community Pre-school
The pre-school at Louisburgh Childcare is a community pre-school and is operated under the stewardship of the Board of Management. It is not-for-profit and, as part of Louisburgh Childcare, is a registered charity.
Fees
Children are eligible for the ECCE scheme (2 free years of pre-school) if they are 2 years 8 months old by the 31st August, of the year they will be starting pre-school, which is normally in September. If children are not entitled to a free place, usually because they are under or over the age that entitles them to a free ECCE place in a particular year, we charge fees based on the ECCE grant we receive, which is €13.90 per child per session.
Calendar and opening hours
The pre-school operates two sessions daily - from 8.45am-11.45am for the older children and 12.15pm-3.15pm for the younger children daily. See calendar below for school terms.
Facilities
The pre-school at Louisburgh Childcare shares a site with the full day childcare facility (creche) in a purpose-built building in Ard Caher, Louisburgh, just a 5 min walk from the town centre. It is regularly inspected by Tusla as being appropriate for pre-school education and childcare.
Ethos
To provide high quality education and childcare, accessible to all families in the community, for children aged 2 years 8 months (see note on Fees) to school age and in collaboration with the full day childcare (creche) service.
Our Team
The team at Louisburgh Childcare's pre-school is highly experienced and qualified. They are supported by AIM staff when appropriate and all staff are Garda vetted every 3 years.
